In addition to releasing cumulative update July 2024 for Windows 11 21H2, 22H2 and 23H2 users, Microsoft also released an update for Copilot+ device users and users who have been using Windows 11 24H2.

The update presented here is KB5040435 which will change the OS Build to 26100.1150. For the improvements themselves, this update brings all the fixes from preview update KB5039304 which includes issues with Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) failing to verify the policies of a number of apps, and inconsistent animations in Task View.

In addition, just like the updates presented in other Windows 11 builds, this build also presents a fix for Windows Installer where previously when users tried to repair apps, User Account Control did not ask for user credentials. And through this update, this problem has been fixed.

Now, for those of you who are currently using Windows 11 24H2, you can get this build from the Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates page.

Are there any known issues?, so far there have been no reports of problems with Windows 11 24H2 except for the laggy task view issue, which has been fixed in this update. If you find any bugs and issues, try commenting below guys.
