A few days ago it was reported that Microsoft has pulled Windows 11 version 24H2 from Insider Release Preview because there are quite a lot of problem reports, especially problems related to “PcaWallpaperAppDetect” for users who are trying to upgrade from Windows 11 23H2 to 24H2.

However, with the update on June 15 2024 via Windows 11 Build 26100.863, Microsoft has re-released Windows 11 version 24H2 for Insider Release Preview users, here is the changelog.

UPDATE 6/15: We have resumed rollout of Windows 11, version 24H2 to the Release Preview Channel with Build 26100.863

With that, for those of you Insider Release Preview users who are still using Windows 11 version 23H2, you can now get version 24H2 directly via the Settings > Windows Updates page.

Is There Still a Problem?

While there have been no further reports regarding problems that occurred previously, however, in the experiments I carried out, Windows version 23H2 could be upgraded to version 24H2 without any problems.

You just have to make sure that the system you are using meets the minimum requirements of Windows 11, and don’t forget to prepare it restore point in system restore to avoid unwanted things.
