The last news of Windows 12’s presence and rumors was about five months ago when Microsoft released it Windows Insider Canary Build 27545 internally, after that unfortunately we no longer heard any news from The Next Gen of Windows In this case, there isn’t even the slightest leak.

Windows 12 There was indeed hype because Microsoft was reportedly going to bring many new things, especially AI improvements to its new operating system, and for those of you who often follow news about this, perhaps you have heard the term AI PC.

PC AI and Its Relationship With Windows 12

Initially, Windows 12 was predicted to be the beginning of its emergence AI PC which in fact is now more aimed at PC AI Copilot+which is a special certification given by Microsoft to hardware that meets it all conditions that they determine.

And the presence of Copilot+ actually makes the rumors and news about Windows 12 even more dispersed, guys. Because as we already know, all the new AI features were introduced in Windows 11 24H2, to name a few Recall, Live Caption, Studio Effects and others.

16 GB RAM standard in Windows 12

Well, a few months ago we also received news that 16 GB RAM standard is the standard that will be carried by Windows 12, but in fact all Copilot+ devices carry a minimum of 16GB RAM because that is the requirement for a device to be considered a Copilot+ device.

This 16 GB standard also initially referred to the AI PC which was predicted to start with Windows 12, but after the arrival of Copilot+ it actually made all the rumors about its presence Windows 12 seems to have disappeared and is no longer relevant.

Will the presence of Copilot+ open up opportunities for Windows 12?

Currently, Microsoft seems to be increasingly solidifying its plans for the Copilot+ device to open up opportunities for the AI features they are developing. All these AI features have been slowly introduced to the Copilot+ device which went on sale on June 18 2024.

Apart from that, even though all the AI features are present in Windows 11 24H2 for Copilot+ device users, will it open up new opportunities for Windows 12?

So, that’s one question that quite a lot of users might ask, if so, it’s possible that Windows 12 will be specifically for Copilot+ devices and users will have to buy a new device to use it.

Or, just like now, to get all the features of Windows 12, users have to buy a Copilot+ device.

Or Windows 12 Failed!

The final decision is in Microsoft’s hands, and if they follow development cycle with a new OS every 3 years like the era before Windows 10, in 2024 we should get a new OS which is predicted to be Windows 12.

But unfortunately Microsoft is more focused on Copilot+ and the release of Windows 11 24H2 besides that several months ago it was rumored that they were instead quit Windows 12 to 2025. So, if next year we don’t get definite news about Windows 12, it’s possible that this OS will fail to be released or be postponed again indefinitely.

For me, currently the development of Windows seems unclear, especially with the many changes in decisions that Microsoft has made to their OS. Honestly, I’m curious about what Windows OS will be like in the future, because I feel that the development of Windows OS seems to be running in place and there’s not much to look forward to.

What do you think? do you have another opinion? Comment below guys and will Windows 12 be released, delayed or will it fail? Comment below guys.
