According to the report revealed by @ChangeWindows In
- The two ad blocks that were on the Weather app homepage are still there.
- The homepage top bar now has a Fluent-like design with rounded buttons and more.
- Previously, the home page title bar had the option to change between light and dark themes. Now, you can change the theme from the temperature unit selector pop-up and then the existing title bar buttons. Currently, this doesn't work as expected, but Microsoft may fix this in a future update.
- The new navigation controls on the homepage will have links to different sections of the page, allowing you to easily move between sections without having to scroll up and down.
- There's a new light theme that looks pleasing to the eye. Take a look below.
In addition, there are several other changes which include:
- The “SEE MONTHLY PLANNER” button was replaced with “SEE MONTHLY”, and will now only scroll down on the same page instead of opening a separate monthly overview page.
- The “WEATHER INSIGHTS” section is now replaced by the “Weather Details” section, which will now display Cloud Cover, Wind, AQI, Visibility, Dew point temperature, Moon phaseand much more.
- The new redesigned home page has a new Weather map section with a new set of controls; take a look below.
- Scrolling further down, the new Monthly section on the new home page introduces two new ad blocks.
- The last section on the homepage is the Weather trends section, which displays historical weather data for a location.
- Apart from the homepage, the Weather app remains the same as before.
This appearance and behavior update appears to have just been rolled out to the weather app on Windows 11 specifically for a select few Insider users. However, if it is perfect, of course it will be rolled out gradually to users.
